V-Belt, also known as Vee Belt, is made of polyester cord as the strength layer, which is composed of four parts: cloth, top rubber, strength layer(polyester cord) and bottom rubber. The V-belt is easy to produce, it has high tensile strength, cheaper price and wide range application.

The Timing belt, also known as Synchronous Belt is an endless belt with steel wire rope or glass fiber as the strength layer and covered with polyurethane or rubber. The inner circumference surface of the belt is made into teeth to mesh with the toothed pulley. The price is much more expensive than the V-Belt.

Advantages of V-Belt:
        1. Simple structure, low requirements for manufacturing and installation accuracy, easy to use and maintain, suitable for using where the center distance between two axes is large.
        2. Smooth transmission, low noise, cushioning and vibration absorption.
        3. When overloaded, V-Belt will slip on the pulley, which can prevent the damage of weak parts and play a safety protection role.

Disadvantages of V-Belt:
  1. Accurate transmission ratio cannot be guaranteed.
       2. The V-Belt length size is large(for example our V-Belt A type smallest length size is 600mm), the transmission efficiency is low.

Advantages of Timing Belt:
  1, Accurate transmission, no sliding during working, with constant transmission ratio.
2. Smooth transmission, low noise, cushioning and vibration absorption.
  3. The transmission efficiency is high, up to 98%, and the energy saving effect is obvious.
  4, Easy maintenance, no need for lubrication, low maintenance cost;
  5. The speed ratio range is large, generally up to 10, and the linear speed can reach 50m/s, with a large power transmission range, up to several watts to hundreds of kilowatts.
       6. It can be used for long-distance transmission, the center distance can reach more than 10m.
