First of all, the structure of the V-belt is simple, and the precision requirements for manufacturing and installation are not very high. The V-belt is more easy for maintenance and use. V-belts are more suitable for situation when the distance between the centers of the two axes is large. The V-belt has a little stretchable, the transmission is relatively stable, and the noise is relatively small, and it has the effect of cushioning and shock absorption. The V-belt has better toughness and high strength, and it is not easy to be broken. V-belts are commonly used in industry.
However, the V-belt cannot guarantee the accurate transmission ratio and the outer profile is large and the transmission efficiency is low.
